- Go to the Facebook official website.
- In your timeline, navigate to the post you want to backdate.
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select Edit date .
- Choose a new date and time and click on Done .

How to Backdate Facebook Group Posts?
Unfortunately, you cannot backdate a group post on FB.
How to Backdate a Facebook Post Before Publishing
Follow the steps mentioned below to set an old date for a Facebook post before publishing:
Note: These steps will work only if you have a Facebook page.
- Go to the Facebook Creator Studio website and log in with your Facebook page.
- Click on Create new and select Create post .
- Select the Facebook page.
- Customize your post, click the downward arrow on the right of the Publish button.
- Click on Backdate and select a date and time.
- Click on Save .
