Turning on automatic saving of photos will not save your old Instagram photos, but your new ones to your device’s gallery automatically.
Open Instagram and go to your profile.
Tap on the three lines icon at the top-right corner and select Settings and privacy .
Select Archiving and downloading under Your app and media .
Turn on the toggle for Save original photos .
